Stephanie posted a couple of pictures (drawings) she has been working on. I copied this partial post from her livejournal which can be found here at stephanie’s livejournal

My computer screen is brighter than most, I hope it isnt too dark for people D:
I’ve, for your benefit, blotted out her eye! for some reason I completely killed that eye. In animals thats like the easiest way to draw an eye IMO. I dunno what I did to this one D: so I blotted it out so it wouldnt distract. Her ear also, used to not be up so high, I’ve just moved so many facial features downwards and her ear hasnt followed because its attached to that hair and hat…so screw it. Not my first attempt at a human, but one that I plan to show……a friend asked me to draw her character for her birthday which is on Sunday. I said I might if I dont have homework, so it should still be a surprise. I’m not that well practiced in humans :< so just a portrait for now until Im comfortable with myself. I hope it looks somewhat decent, I keep staring at it and I lose track of my mistakes.

And this, sorry for the horrible photograph. I didnt want to scan it because…lol it just looks better far away. I love pastels. I think pastels are really something that are made for me. Because they blend. Digitally, you’ve all seen it, I start with a huge black outline and then blend the colors in. Pastels do just that. Now my problem is, I only have like 3 good pastels that blend. I have some really really cheap ones that are stupidly hard and I cant smudge them :< I have a really great book that shows me how to use pastels, I just cant mimic it with my supplies. So I tried. I’m hoping I can get better and make do with what I have.
