Johnny Pacar

My 20 19 year old (won’t be 20 til Oct 27)daughter Stephanie and I have spent the last three weeks watching a television show called Flight 29 Down on the Discovery Kids channel. I like to watch family friendly dramas. Don’t know why. I just do. I stumbled across Flight 29 Down accidentally and once I started watching episodes I couldn’t stop. And then Stephanie started to watch and she couldn’t stop. (Stephanie blames me for her obsession…as if I controlled her video watching habits. LOL!!) We had to see what happened next….and then we had to watch the movie that aired on Saturday. Flgiht 29 down is about a group of teenagers that crash land on a deserted island. Think of the TV show “Lost” only with teenagers but no polar bear or weird strange island happenings.

I am going to ramble a bit ’cause Johnny Pacar is total Cuteness.

Before you start getting all weird on me and thinking I am a scary 43 year old woman. I am not. As a mom I have often thought about what kind of young men I would like my daughters to meet. Seeing how two of my four daughters are grown and of the dating age I often wonder what kind of boys they are going to bring home to momma. I have strong fears of seeing lots of tattoos and body piercings. So far this hasn’t happened. {{{Knock on wood}}}.

Johnny Pacar the young actor in the above picture is what I consider adorable. Mr. Pacar is so cute you just want to give him a giant squeeze and invite him over to dinner. I love his personality. He seems to be doing well as an actor. I hope he continues to do well. If IMDB is correct he is not as young as he looks. He was born in 1981. Which puts him in his mid 20s. He plays a teenager named Jackson on flight 29 down. I submit the following video as an example of his cuteness. You will have to cut and paste the following link. This video doesn’t allow embeding. I have no idea how old this video is…probably a couple of years.

EDIT: Here is his myspace. :)
Johnny and Stephanie both have/had dogs named “Daisy”.

Hmm. I was born in 1980. I’m only one year older than Johnny. Plus, I also have the name “Jon”, I’m “a nice guy”, and have been told I have a certain appearance that many find favorable. And I’m single. And an actor. … [raised eyebrow] … Coincidence? I think not. :P

Jon- LOL! sometimes you make me smile. Just for the record, I have no control over who my children date…All I can do is point out qualities that I think are nice to have. I am always jokingly pointing at the TV and when I see some young man doing something sweet and nice I say “You can date a boy like that.” the kids usually just roll their eyes at me. :)

Jon-….and I just thought of something else. You and Stephanie are both artists…she’s single, your single…I’m seeing a connection. {{{wink}}} I’ll send you her schedule. LOL!!

That’s true. Stephanie and I do both seem to have the noblest of professions. And we *do* have that single thing going. … [silly grin] … Hmm. Yeah, I’ll have to see what we can work out! LOL! :P

Hello! I’ve been gone from your blog way too long, so I just stopped by to say “Hi!” I agree that Pacar is total cuteness. If I were a Mom, I’d want him to be the type of guy my daughter would date. Or, I’m not so old yet as to say, if I were maybe 5 years younger, I’d want to date him myself! Lol!

Jon- LOL! should you and Stephanie accidentally show up at the same place…don’t tell her I sent you…she’ll shoot you down and then murder me. :)

Iziezi- LOL!! Five years is nothing…I say go for it. You are both adults. Don’t let age stop you. :)

Haha! I won’t say a thing, Marsha. Mum’s the word. … [laugh] … (although, I do imagine such a meeting would be rather entertaining to watch — should I, hypothetically, say anything!) :P

Jon, LOL! you realize when Stephanie reads this post I am getting the evil eye. :) For some reason beyond my comprehension she does not appreciate my help in locating the perfect mate…by the way, her favorite drink is DR Pepper. :)

  • 10 Jon Baas // Aug 28, 2007 at 8:40 pm

[raised eyebrow] … Really? I like Dr. Pepper. :P

LOL!!! (I am so dead if she ever reads this. :) )

    Her favorite indulgence…caramel mocha frapacinos.

  • 12 Jon Baas // Aug 29, 2007 at 10:01 am

Hehehe! Caramel mocha frapacinos… sounds indulging indeed!

Yeah… Stephanie sounds like quite an interesting person. :) (And in all seriousness, one amazingly talented artist too!) Ok. I’m sold. When’s our first date? LOL! :P

LOL!!!…not helping you get a date… :) try colaborating on an art project.

  • 14 Jon Baas // Aug 29, 2007 at 11:35 am

Hahaha! I love this banter! Poor Stephanie. … :P
Seriously, though, if the opportunity ever arose, yeah, I’d love to collaborate with her on an art project. I’m impressed with her work. She’s got some real skill there!

I’m thinkin she has not read this page…otherwise I would have heard something by now. :) I probably should sleep with one eye open. :P

Jon- I tried to convince Stephanie to put some of her art on t-shirts, mugs and such but she just rolled her eyes at me and said none of her art was good enough. I don’t think she thinks anyone would buy it. Maybe you could talk to her. It might help put a little cash in her pockets.

  • 17 Jon Baas // Aug 29, 2007 at 2:25 pm

Marsha, yeah, I think Stephanie’s art would sell VERY WELL on t-shirts, mugs, etc — T-shirts especially. And I still recommend Cafepress.com (the company I work with). Granted, it would be a little work for her to get it set up, but definitely worth it. And it would tap into a whole new market far beyond the capabilities of DeviantArt!

And if she were to set up a store like I have (unlimited pages; unlimited products of her choosing; prices of her choosing; products already in the CP marketplace), it only costs $6.95/month, and that can be covered by selling only 1-2 shirts! The rest is pure profit.

And to be completely honest, animal art — especially pets: cats, dogs, etc — are HUGE sellers! People love pets. And with Stephanie’s level of skill… I think her animal art could gain some real customer interest.

Especially since we’re coming up on the Christmas shopping season! Take it from me, the end of the year is an excellent time to be selling great art — especially on t-shirts and other gift items!

Sure, I’d love to talk to Stephanie about the whole her art on t-shirts thing. If she’s interested, feel free to send her my way (email on blog). Or send me where I need to go. This could indeed help put a little cash in her pockets. It does for me. :)

Just keep her away from young guys like me. LOL!

  • 19 marsha loftis // Aug 31, 2007 at 11:20 am

Ricardo, I don’t know who is more dangerous…you or Jon. LOL!! I have little to no control over who Stephanie gets close to. It’s getting harder and harder to keep track of her 24 hours a day. I thought of tagging her with a GPS but she kept saying “No”. :) She won’t even let me sit in the back of the class when she is at college….I’m pretty sure other parents get to hang out there. :)

  • 20 Ricardo // Sep 1, 2007 at 12:05 pm

Spoken like a true mother in regards to the GPS and wanting to sit in the back of class. I would say Jon and I are a leathal force to daughters around the world. :-)

  • 21 marsha loftis // Sep 1, 2007 at 1:21 pm

Ricardo,….there is no doubt about that!! :)

  • 22 Jon Baas // Sep 1, 2007 at 9:19 pm

Except, I’d be someone said daughter could take home to meet mom and dad, and they wouldn’t have to worry about getting out the shotgun. LOL! :P

hahaha!!! now you got me laughin!!!… :) I’m leaving it in Stephanie’s hands to bring home a nice boy.

When my oldest daughter brought home her boyfriend she forgot to mention that her daddy is 6′ 4″ tall. The boy looked up with fear in his eyes the moment he walked thru the front door. :)
